RealPlayer feed help
There is an issue which effects some users of LivePoliceScan trying to listen to feeds when using Internet explorer 8. The main issue that we are aware of is RealPlayer not displaying correctly therefore not playing the feed, this can usually be resolved by unistalling and then reinstalling internet explorer 8. The following applies to all browsers and all live scanner feeds:
There may be a problem with the scanner feed itself. Since these are offered from all over the Web and are only collated at LivePoliceScan we are unable to control their performance, however we do check all of the feeds on a regular basis and update them if we find a problem. Please see the updates page for more details of when the next complete update/feed check is sheduled.
(A feed update will be performed sooner if we become aware of a specific problem with a live scanner broadcast between sheduled updates).
User limits
Some scanner feeds can support many simultaneous listeners others may only be able to support a few listeners at a time.
Broadcast times
Some but not all scanners broadcast all day every day.
